Due to your previous interest in the Assets for Independence (AFI) Program, the AFI Resource Center wanted to make you aware of an upcoming AFI Question and Answer Call for Prospective Grantees conference call next Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
Please note that the correct date for the conference call is Thursday, February 18th. We look forward to speaking with you and answering all of your AFI questions!
Designed for prospective grantees and their partners, this interactive call allows participants to ask questions from AFI Resource Center staff and expects on AFI program requirements and application guidelines and procedures.

AFI is the largest Federal funding source for Individual Development Account (IDA) programs. The AFI program provides funding for non-profit organizations, qualified state and local governments, community development credit unions, and other community-based organizations to provide IDAs for qualified individuals in their area. Each participant sets up an individual savings account that receives matched funding from the federal government and another source. The funds can be used for furthering education, purchasing a home, or starting a business.
