ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND


Oglala Sioux Tribe Partnership for Housing's mission is to create
successful homeownership opportunities for Tribal members living on the
Pine Ridge Reservation.  We provide training and assistance for Tribal
members to find affordable, decent, and safe housing by improving access
to the lending market.


POSITION SUMMARY


The Finance and Grants Manager, in coordination with the Executive
Director, is responsible for performing the financial management,
accounting, and administrative functions of the organization. This
position will be supported by an outside accounting firm that will offer
professional guidance and assist in performing some of the financial
management duties. Training in specialty areas required for the
organization will be available, but applicant must have the capacity and
desire to perform the duties.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1.	Purchases, maintains, and tracks office supplies and equipment,
including coordination of repairs, in compliance with the procurement
policies. 
2.	Coordinates and processes payroll activities including cutting
payroll checks, payroll taxes and necessary tax related forms.
3.	Performs administrative tasks and ensures accurate documentation
of staff compliance on personnel policy responsibilities.

4.    Responsible for managing and tracking grant/contract expenditures
in compliance with grant regulations.

5.	Maintains up-to-date and accurate financial statements and
reports as set out by the Executive Director, Board of Directors and
funding agencies.  
6.	Assist the Executive Director in developing annual budgets.
7.	Manage annual audit preparation and serve as the primary staff
liaison to the auditors.
8.	Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive
Director.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


1.	Bachelor's degree preferred and/or three years experience in
financial management, accounting, and administrative duties. 
2.	Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3.	High ethical and professional standards.  Attention to detail.
4.	Skill in the use of computers and commonly used office and
QuickBooksTM accounting software.
5.	Ability to manage multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy
in fulfillment of position requirements, while working to ensure success
of the organization.
6.	All persons selected for interview will be subject to a
background check.  Must have valid driver's license.
7.	Indian and Veteran preference will be given.
