“KC Indian  Fest”  


Kansas City Indian Art Market & Cultural  Festival  

October 3 & 4,  2009  10:00-6:00 each day, Saturday &  Sunday  

Line Creek Community  Center,  5940 NW  Waukomis Drive.  

Kansas City, MO  


Outdoor festival  sponsored by non-profit organization seeking to foster 
education about  Native American Cultures.  We  need your participation.  


·         If you are an artist…we need you to show and sell  your work.  


·         If you own a teepee…we need you to bring it on  Friday and set it 
up to make the grounds authentic.  Each teepee will be hosted by  someone 
teaching a class or leading an activity.  We have overnight  security.  


·         If you know how to set up teepees but don’t own  one…we need you 
to volunteer to help set up the others on Friday  afternoon.  


·         If you just want to have a good time…we need you to  come (only 
costs $2) and watch the dancing and flute playing, visit the  art booths, eat 
Indian Tacos and attend a class or two.  There will be games and crafts for 
 children and educational classes for adults.  If you already are well 
versed in  the history of the area etc. then please sit in on the classes and 
offer  ideas during the question period.  


·         If you have other ways you’d like to  participate…let us know.  
We  want you to be part of this.   Please spread the word.   And let us know 
how you would like to  help.
