Native American New Enterprise Program
Bold Thinking is currently developing a web-based platform to further develop a culture of opportunity in the Midwest Native American Tribal Nations. This educational platform will serve both as a learning tool and social community to both transfer entrepreneurial competencies and increase the capacity to think and act entrepreneurially.
Native American New Enterprise Program
"Facilitating business success through the power of entrepreneurship"
Theme
The Power of Entrepreneurship: Strengthening Ourselves, Strengthening a Culture of Opportunity, Strengthening Each Other.
Statement of Purpose
Entrepreneurship is more than starting a small business. Entrepreneurship is a mindset and a powerful set of tools for empowering individuals to take control of the decisions they desire in creating a life of meaning. The goal of this program is to seed and develop a new culture of opportunity that uses the creation of enterprise as the outcome.
Another goal of the program is to inspire and enable a whole new group of entrepreneurs to pursue life-changing goals through the practical experience of launching a new business venture of their own creation. This program is designed not as a competition with winners and losers, but as a skill set development program that empowers nascent entrepreneurs with resources and networks that can allow them to develop their entrepreneurial competency and develop a new business.

Background and Methodology
Investors often remark that it is not the lack of business plans to invest in, but rather it is the lack of investable business plans to be considered as worthy investments. Our approach in the program is to utilize the nationally ranked, award-winning entrepreneurial education methods utilized by Dr. Jeffrey Stamp at the University of North Dakota to improve both the core entrepreneurial competency of the participants but also to develop a select set of business plans that can actually successfully compete for investment funding from outside the program.
Successful entrepreneurs think of entrepreneurship as a process of creating value by bringing together a unique set of resources in order to pursue and opportunity. Then what profitable entrepreneurs do is set about pursing those observed opportunities without regard to the resources they currently control. This program is focused on entrepreneurship as a balance between opportunity identification and resource gathering as primary skill sets. In addition, the program has been developed using experiential educational methods, as entrepreneurship is not a sedentary scholarly pursuit but participation required empowering activity.
