(please forward and apologies for cross postings)

The CDFI Fund is conducting a conference call specific to Native CDFI
Certification. This call will serve as a forum for potential
certification applicants to ask questions of CDFI Fund staff about
becoming a certified Native CDFI. It is targeted toward those emerging
entities that are looking to apply for certification within this next
calendar year. The date and instructions for accessing the next
conference call are outlined below.

Date: Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EDT

Instructions: To access the conference call, participants need to call
(202) 927-2255 and enter in the pin number 315646. No prior registration
is necessary.

As part of the NACA Program, the CDFI Fund certifies organizations as
Native community development financial institutions - or Native CDFIs.
Among other benefits, CDFI certification allows applicants to apply for
Financial Assistance through the NACA Program. These organizations
provide financing and related services to Native Communities. To become
certified, an organization must:

1) Be a legal entity;

2) Have an eligible primary mission;

3) Be a financing entity;

4) Serve an eligible Target Market;

5) Be accountable to the Target Market;

6) Provide corresponding Development Services, and

7) Not be controlled by a government entity.
