[CircleUp] LAST CHANCE! Urge Treasury Officials to Finalize CDFI Program!

Thanks to all who have already expressed their support for OFN's efforts to
direct TARP funding to more CDFIs!

 

This week, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told Congress that he
intended to extend TARP through October 2010. His announcement  included
"additional efforts to facilitate small business lending," similar to the
recently-announced initiatives for community development banks and community
development credit unions, as one of three areas in which TARP money would
be used next year.

 

The Secretary needs to know that there is broad support for him to move
quickly on finalizing measures to direct TARP resources to CDFI loan funds,
as he committed to do in October. If you have not already done so, please
reply to this email TODAY with your organization and service area so that we
can add you to the growing list of CDFIs endorsing our letter to the
